 2010 Gala
2010 Gala Volunteers
The 22nd Annual St. David's Center Gala shone with glitz, glamour and glitter and raised more than $148,000 in net proceeds.

This would not have been possible without the 35 volunteers that helped with registration, checked coats, manned auction tables, spotted the live auction, checked out guests and more.

Thank you, Gala volunteers, for making the event a shining success.
the volunteer connection
A newsletter for dedicated St. David's Center volunteers
Greetings!

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with St. David's Center. This quarterly newsletter will keep you up-to-date on volunteer opportunities and highlight some of the volunteers committed to helping St. David's Center nurture the development of every child and family.
Upcoming Opportunities

Clean Up, Clean Up, Everybody Clean Up
Have a small group looking for a small, but valuable, project?

Our Family Place therapeutic preschool is looking for help with: sorting games and puzzles; cleaning and sanitizing toys; and cleaning and organizing the play therapy room.

Five to seven volunteers are needed for two to four hours.

Picnic Time
Looking for a way to enjoy spring while still doing something meaningful?

Our Adventure Program, an after-school program for youth ages 11 to 24 with developmental disabilities, is having its end-of-the-year picnic on Tuesday, June 8 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

One to three volunteers are needed to help set-up and tear-down the event for 35 guests.

There also is an opportunity for a volunteer group to sponsor the cost of food.

Play Time
Love kids? Want to support those who care for children in our Foster Care program?

St. David's Center hosts Foster Care Parent Group Night two evenings a month to give foster parents an opportunity to connect with one another, get advice and gain support.

The group nights are held the second and fourth Mondays every month at St. David's Center. Volunteers are needed from 5:45 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. to provide childcare for the 10 to 30 children expected each night.

If you're interested in volunteering for, or donating to, any of these opportunities, please contact Layne Trout at 952-548-8627.
We understand the importance of volunteers and the impact you have on each and every child. With your help, we're better able to serve more than 2,500 children and families in the West Metro each year.

Thank you for your continued support.
